I ask that question because a I saw on another thread were some folks didn't seem to like the .308 M90 RPKs. I have a M77 yugo and love it. Very sturdy rifle.
I posted were I had the chance to purchase a NIB M90 RPK for 1500.00. Well I waited and Have a Chance to buy a NIB .308 M90 RPK for 1,100.
Is there a reason I should not purchase this weapon? It has all the extras and great looking teek stock, grip, handguards.
Thanks in advance

One problem is that mags are rare and expensive

That's a great price. I paid $1500 for mine with 2 mags. Grab it fast -- or tell me about it for $1100.

Thanks for the info folk. Yes the real Mags are very hard too find. Do some of the mags come so you can only load 5 rounds in the mag?
Ken, I think i'm going to buy it, if I wasn't I'd let you know where it at. Thanks for confirming that 1100 is a good price for it. I'll post again when i receive the Mitchell RPK and maybe get any tips you have for care and operation.

Thanks again for all your help.

Yes, there is a pop rivet in the back of the Mitchell 20 rounders that can easily be drilled out -- making them hold 20 rounds rather than 5.

You will love it. Make sure you get the cleaning rod and bipod.

You are lucky you are getting the teak handguard and buttstock. Most of us had to find ours.

Tomelroy on this list just scored a good one too, but w/o the wood. Hope he's found some by now.

Oh, and CFI in Fort Worth, 817-595-2485, has night sights on closeout for $25 if yours doesn't come with them. I'm not sure how bright they are. AKE also has the rear clipon night site.

Ken, You were right, it is a sweet rifle. It did come with a bi pod and the cleaning rod and it came with a scope mount and scope (not very good). Only draw back was the mag, it wasn't an original 3 ridded mag but after market, but for 1130.00 NIB delivered I'm not complaining. I almost don't want to fire it because its in such nice shape. Wish I new how to post a pic on the board.
Thanks again for your help. If anyone runs across some three rib mags please let me know.

Thanks agian.

Try this to post the photos: Click on the 'photos' button above. It's in the dead center of the row that starts with 'calendar.' Start an album and enter the photo. When you get it entered (it'll read it right off your floppy if you do it correctly), place the little arrow over the photo you want to enter into your emai and right click on it. A new box will pop up and copy the line after address that starts with http:// and ends with .jpg. Go to reply, just as you were about to reply to this post. Type anything you want and, when you are ready for the photo, hit 'IMG' above. In the box that pops up, paste the address you just copied. Give it a few seconds and your photo should appear in your post. It's a bit hard and takes some playing with to get a decent size and resolution photo but it is worth it. If you want, I'll take a photo of mine and post it, too. If you email me off line, I'll look for the address of the guy who had the Mitchell 30 rounders (not imports, but US made I was told) for about $60 or 65.
