Is there any chance you will have the Polish SKS's in the future? The laminated one's? I kinda heard a rumor floating around about these possibly being imported. If you decided to bring these in I will guarantee thousands of them being sold. :D

Look at this link. Here is a picture of them. They are beautiful.

Ten years ago, they said the same about Romanian and Albanian SKS's

I stand corrected, I guess they have made an SKS, sorry for opening my mouth too soon. If they are 100% polish made then they should be good stuff, better than Albanian or Romanian.
I guess time will tell if we will ever see these for sale

Believe me if there are Polish SKS Rifles available the importer wolves know about them. I have heard nothing, I am not saying they do not exist, they are just not shopping them to distributors yet. If they become available to us we will most definately try and get them.

What ever happend to surplus East German SKS's? They have been known to exist in the west for decades, I have a copy of Smith's 'Small Arms of the World' from the 70's where one is photographed but I've never seen or handled one. The unified Germany have been selling Makarov's, MPi-KM parts sets, magazines, optics, etc but no SKS's.
I believe they may even be C & R eligible. Where are they?

IIRC, someone posted a link to information on former East German weapons stocks. It seemed to show that the new powers to be after unification were worried about the excess of firearms in the former East Germany Republic falling into the hands of agitators and people who may have wanted to rebel and reinstate the old Communist system. The listing showed a systematic destruction of sizeable quantities of former East German weapons to include SKS's and AK's. That is why you see very little in the way of former East German AK kits in this country. What East German parts you do see here seem to be new armorer spares. Also, it has been speculated that a sizeable quantity of East German SKS's were bought my a broker that dealt in arming various factions in the Balkan region.

I heard that they were destroyed by the unified government when the Berlin wall fell as the SKS was a symbol of the old communist government.

A tremendous of E. Grmn. military hardware was given over to
their traditional friend Croatia. Got that info from the carbines for collectors site. I'd bet that a lot of them were converted into
59/66s with G.L.s over there- but that's just my own .02 worth!
