Does any one know if Ironwood butt stock for slant cut MAK receiver fit slant cut VEPR receiver ?

was posted in 'russian ak' forum cuz there was no vepr forum at that time...

i'd be interested in a stock like this. but custom work is not an option for me, since i live in germany and can't ship my gun to krebs custom.

somebody should send his vepr to ironwood to have them take measures for producing vepr stocks. looks like they do great work. :)

Hope you have better luck getting Ironwood to talk to you than I did...

E-mailed them five times about info on their stocks (Even put "PRETTY PLEASE" in the header finally.) ZILCH. ZERO. NADA in the reply departrnent.

I emailed them this weekend(Sat.) with questions about one of there stocks and got a reply Sunday. Emailed them again Sunday afternoon with more questions and got a reply latter that day. Ordered a stock Monday and got a confermation of my order a couple hours later.

I had awsome service from Ironwood. I e-mailed Matt three different times, and he replied very quickly everytime. Answered everyone of my questions.

BTW their products are top notch.

I got a word back from Matt, he said the slant cut MAK butt stock does not fit a Vepr. I read the same question else where also, and never found an answer there either.

can it be modified to fit the vepr?

I have a Maadi-Misr with the slant cut, it's pretty shallow. It would be easier to take a stock cut for the Vepr and modify it for the Mak slant cut reciever. A Romak 3 stock might be closer?

I just ordered a RPB Krinkov stock for my Misr, how much JB weld comes in a tube?LOL

unfortunatly Soupbowl stocks remind me of planks of wood with nice radiused corners.

well, that's how an original rpk stock looks like. but the soupbowl stock is longer.

I wish ACE LTD., www.riflestocks.com , would make a receiver adaptor block that would allow one of their tube butt stocks to fit a Vepr. I have asked them several times to make it, they always have something else to do first. Wish they would realize the sales it would generate, no one else make anything for a Vepr stock.
