RPKs for dummies?

Can you guys suggest a site or sites that I can learn the basics of the semi-auto RPKs and the available accessories? Looking at some of the pics here, I suddenly see an extra space in one of my gun cabinets.

I am putting one together, and my understanding its got a heavyer gage reciver, and longer barrel, and different rear stock than an ak.
