Current wait time on a VEPR II?

I bought my VEPR II last year and the wait time, even at Christmas, was only 7 weeks. I have a friend who wants to buy one and he was wondering what the average wait time is. In addition, I have toyed with the idea of getting one in .308 as well. Last year, it seemed like they were next to impossible to get. Is this still true?

seems like the russians are having problems to deliver in time.

many people in this forum complain about robarms "not being able to get their product into the country".

but i ordered my vepr at the german importer, who imports directly from russia. it was promised to be delivered "end of april" and i still don't have it...

so maybe it's not robarm's fault...

Sorry to hear about your wait. Unfortunately, I have heard this from a lot of people. I find them at gun shows but they want $649 or more for them. I paid $500. Guess I got lucky only having to wait 7 weeks...which was nothing compared to the 8 months I had to wait for the rifle I ordered from Armalite...

Give FAC GunsNStuff (http://www.gunsnstuff.net) a call at 763-780-8780. They have been advertising .308 VEPR-IIs and 7.62 x 39 VEPR-K's in every monthly sales flyer for the past 6 months, for $499 and $449, respectively. They may actually have a few in stock!

I have been corresponding with Logan Millard at R.A. for the past few days. He said that they are expecting a shipment of the VEPR II .308 which will be ready to ship late summer.

I couldn't wait, so I ordered one of the last remaining .223's they had on hand so I could get used to the gun and determine if I want to go VEPR for my .308, or pony up for the DSA FAL.
