Question building a AK

I have been contemplating building my own AK but thought I'd pick your guys brains first. Have you built one, problems building, Best reference material you found to help build AK, parts kits, ECT
How much can you do verses a Smith.

Well I'll tell you what I do.
First decide what type of AK you want.
Second search for the parts kit, receiver, ect.
Third speak to your AK builder and discuss in detail what work you need done.
Fourth send everything to the builder.
Turn around time should be 4-8 weeks
Don't forget to post pictures of the finished AK build here and relate your experence.
