I just picked up a (barely) used Vepr K .223 that I bought through this forum. Due to the various posts about canted front sights, I eyeballed the front sight on this rifle, looking down the muzzle. It appears to be a slightly canted, and I do mean a slightly canted, to the right by about one degree. I then looked at the front sight on my Vepr II .223, which shoots sub 2 MOA groups, and found a similar cant. Since I'm happy with the accuracy of my Vepr II at 50 and 100 yards, I'm not concerned about it in my Vepr K. I’m guessing that the Molot factory couldn’t get any closer tolerances.

Now I just have to clean it up and try it out at the range! In comparing the Vepr II to the Vepr K, the K is noticeably lighter and feels better balanced. I still like them both! Just need a Super Vepr to complete the stable.

Ian
