I never have time to call & ask them, so here's my question.

Is the Wylde chamber dimension only beneficial when loading single shots, or is commercial ammo(Black Hills) in the <80 gr range capable of being mag fed & functioning normally?

I really appreciate y'alls help.:D

All I have heard about it is that it is between a SAMMI spec .223 and a 5.56x45mm chambering. So it can fire both commerical .223 and military 5.56mm ammo. It is weird cause you can fire both round through a 5.56 but you can only fire .223 in a SAMMI chambered rifle because of saftey reasons. I think that is all there is to the .223 Wylde chamber. If anyone else knows more i would be interested cause I am considering a RRA AR.

Likewise on what bigjross said, I have been told by a couple of AR "experts" that the Wylde chamber is "the best of both worlds" in that it can shoot 223 and 5.56 with no problem.

I got an RRA last year, I have been happy with it I can't say it's any better than my Bushmaster but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

The Wylde chamber is a bit longer in the throat, and will shoot pretty much whatever you throw at it. It is an accuracy enhancing feature. Rock River guarantee's 1moa or better on all their rifles, and 3/4 moa on the varmint and CMP rifles. I took my CMP rifle, and converted it to one of my sniper rifles by having it made with a flattop, and black teflon coating the stainless barrel. I then added the RRA 1 piece scope mount, and a Leupold Tactical scope. I topped it off with a Harris bipod, and went to the range. After initial zeroing, I shot my first group. It measured just over 1/2 moa. That makes me a happy camper! :)
