whats a good price for Saiga rifles? I am looking at 7.62, .223 and .308, just wondering what deals if any are out there and what to expect a gun show price to be, thanks

$180 +15 s&h for my 20" bbl 7.62x39 (from auctionarms.com auction)
$160 +13 s&h for the 16 incher from CDNN.
I really like both of them. Love the look of the 20" bbl, but the 16" is lighter and handles a little nicer. Either way, you can't go wrong. Call CDNN and see if they have any in stock; if not, keep calling back again and again.....(I had to).

My Saiga topped with a Kobra is becoming my number 1 fun gun.

I have a FAL and a DCM AR 15 too. My groups with the Kobra are about the same as my FAL.

We put the Kobra on a Romanian SAR yesterday--no comparison. The Saiga shot much tighter.

I paid $225 for my Saiga .223 at a gunshow and included was a padded gun case. Not bad. They were selling the 7.62 Saigas for $199. Did not ask why the price was higher for the .223.

For the previous poster with the FAL, what sized groups are talking about and at what yardage?

Except for a few flyers, I could keep a box of Barnual in a 5 1/2" ring and had two in the bull on bags at 100 yrds. I can't do it with just the iron sights. It is a fun gun because it shoots cheap ammo and also shoots better than I had hoped it would.

The DCM AR with hand loads or South African shoots tighter with iron sights and my FAL with new Brazilian barrel also does well with Portugese 7.62.

At the gunshows in my neighborhood, you should be able to get one for $205 out the door for the 16 inch in .30 Combloc. The Saigas in .223 are a good deal more because of the supply and demand dynamics. I have not seen any for sale around here in .22 Combloc. I see Saigas in 308, but they don't interest me. If God had wanted me to have an AK in 308, He wouldn't have invented Dieudonne Salve.

Being the sucker that I am I bought my first Saiga at a gun show.I got the 7.62w/ 16"bbl model for $200.I'd been toying around with buying an old used AK of some sort, but when I saw that brand new Saiga in the box for $100-$185 cheaper than most AK variants I've seen I jumped on it.
Then last winter I got bored and decided to buy a Saiga 12.I wanted to get the good one with the screw choke, but my local gun store owner siad that they didn't import them(BS).He ordered me the plain jane model and way overcharged me for it.:mad: Oh, well.I'd do it again too because I really like that shotgun and I havn't seen anyone else around here that has one.That makes me cooler than everyone else, right?:cool:

I actually had to look up Dieudonne Salve, I thought it was something you rubbed on a sore shoulder, you see I own a .308 Saiga and, well, .......

I guess you had to be there.

I didn't know he was the dude that made the FAL. Oh well, seemed funny to me.

The last time I got a catalog from CDNN Imvestments the prices were?
.223 = $199.99
7.62 = $159.99
.308 = $229.99
This price doesn't include shipping, plus whatever your FFL dealer is charging to handle the order for you. In my area that is about $25. CDNN has a web page but doesn't post firearms prices there, but you can fill out the form for the free catalog on the web site.

If you've ever shot an AK in 308, it is.
