did the Russians or Chinese ever "parkerize" or phosphate the
Tokarev TT-33 / TYPE 54 pistols?
I had my Chinese Type 54-1 "Parkerized" a WWII slate grey
green finish.

bluing or a enamel finish is more of their finish..........I believe what you have is a "bubba basement" finish job
I have only seen two finishes on Chinese Tokarev pistols blue or chrome. The only ones I have seen that were chrome were the model TU-90 imported by Navy Arms.
All the Russian/European pistols I have seen were blue.

All the ones I've seen were blued.

Of all the TT33s I've seen: Chinese-blued, Polish-blued, Russian-black shiny finish(I have two of those SSME imported TT33s, one refinished and one not, both are black)

I know the WWII late war P-38's were often Parkerized, and
had rougher machining, but most Chinese or Russian guns are
blued or dull blued.
