Very nice. I saw one of these at the gun show and loved it. What did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking?

  damn dude U paid how much....that is insane
hmmmm....IIRC...the dealer cost on the RPK was $850 (a year ago)....I pay my FFL $25 for a tranfer....add some shipping and insurance and you're at $900. Considering that Arsenal RPKs were made in very limited #s and they are works of art, and quite rare (you will be the envy of all the other kids at the range).....I don't think $1050 is that bad at all. Try and even find an RPK today...... Get some drum mags and 40 rounders and bang away.
I'm jealous...I should have bought an Arsenal RPK when they were available.

Damn dude I only paid 500 for mine...and that was a year ago
Lesley: Did you pay $500 for an Arsenal USA RPK? Where? Do they have any more?

Stu...I don't think so. Look at her tag lines...NORINCO RPK. I think he got a fair price from the ones I've seen out there...
doh...thx us_drag...stu smacks forehead.... thx
yes...Norinco RPK vs Arsenal USA RPK.....both fine rifles but different breeds..
Cover-me did fine.....I'm jealous.

With a little work you can fit a stamped RPK set to your gun. I threw a type III grip on too (its milled after all....).
BTW, only 250 or 300 of these were made. And they are a world apart from a silly Chinese NHM (sold my NHM when I got this, so that should tell you something).

about 1100.00 now but new in box
I am waiting on my Russian RPK from the gunsmith. It is built on a Vepr rifle 7.62 with Russian wood. It has a Bulgarian barrell with a Soviet gas block. I'll try to post pics after I get it.
FYI, K-Var just got a whole bunch of RPK-74 parts kits. You can put those on Vepr 5.45 rifles for a Soviet RPK-74 clone.
