If I had more practice shooting at 100 yds, less than an inch. Unfortunately, I dont, so here are some examples of my first session with a 2.5-10X 42mm scope on it. Using plain ole Port??.
Bear in mind that this was the first session I had sighting in this scope.....so no laughing please!and the sun was in my eyes, there was a tornado, I had a flat tire, We ran out of gas,............

I have a Vepr II .308. I consistantly get just under 2" groups at 100yrds with Hertenburger, Radway green, 143gr PMC, 147gr PMC, 150gr Win., 180gr Win., 150gr Rem. and 165gr Federal match. The groups are in the same place and about the same size no matter what ammo I use.
I use a 4x24mm scope and a forward sandbag rest. If I had a higher power scope and a RSA trigger, I could probably get better groups.
When I first got my vepr my average group size was 4-6" for about 300rds, after that I have been getting 2" groups ever since.
