300 rounds so far and its quite a fun shooter, cast upper and lower, but oh well! I put a mcfarland 1 piece gas ring in it 2 seconds after it came out of its box. The break works so well I can't even bump fire it hehe.

Thanks, The A1 works very well, the rifle is extreemly accurate. The first time I had it out, I was shooting at some rocks at about 100 yards while I was standing. With a big smile on my face with each ploom of dust flying off of them. It is almost unreal how accurate it is, even with the short barrel.

Very nice rifle. That brake kind of looks like the brakes on the .50 cal sniper rifles.

What did you cut out of the picture? Just curious

GoneFission, Thanks! I had one of my AKs underneath it and I did not want anyone to be distracted since this is an AR forum. Up top I had some WD-40 for squeaky doors. I didnt want anyone to think I use wd-40 on my guns :)

I was hoping it was some super secret weapon :)

I am kind of a newb when it comes to AR's, so did that brake come with the rifle?

It came with a brake factory installed, it is very LOUD and with the right ammo kicks out some nice fireballs.

How much did that set you back? (if you dont mind me asking) That is exactly what I want. (allthought I would rather have a2 sights);)

I paid $629 for it at a gun show, it was about $667 out the door. It did not come with a hard case.

I just put a DPMS M4 style flattop upper on my DPMS preban lower. I love it. I bought a carry handle and collapsible stock from Bushmaster and away I go. I had heard good things and bad things about DPMS, but so far so good. I put about 120 rounds thru it last time at the range and no problems associated with the rifle. I bought an EOTech to put on top, but I'm really not too hot on the dot in circle recticle. I put it for sale in the optics section and am hoping someone wants to trade for a used Aimpoint Comp or just buy it outright, that way I could get more ammo for my "new" toy.

Is the like the Olympic Arms plinker model. The new plinker pluss is all forged. for about the same price.

The A-15 is a model number from DPMS. I am not even sure if they make that model anymore. I don't even have this rifle anymore. haha.. Same as AR-15 rifle though.

Hi there,I have a dumb question for you,is a A-15 the same as a AR-15Colt owns the right to the name "AR-15," so all other manufacturers call their AR15s something else...

XM-15, A-15, etc...
