Depends on what your wanting to spend ... Whatever you do, stay away from Springfield scopes ... they are $$$ junk!

If you want quality optic's spend your hard earned dollars on a Leupold or other quality name ... if you have doubts or questions ask around first!

I have a Leupold LR M3 for mine. I'm just waiting for A.R.M.S. to make a rifle length S.I.R. for it and my DMR/SPR project will be complete. FWIW I'd stay away from Springfield scopes.

I might have goofed but only time will tell...

I got the Springfield (4-14x56 Gov't MIL dot) before I saw the negative comments here. Thinking I'd at least try it before I started bitching -I took my AR-10 out and I really like the scope!

The optics are nice and clear
The crosshairs/MIL dots seem completely functional
The elevation & windage adjustments are nice and crisp
The 1/4 inch adjustments seem to be dead-on

If it holds up for 4 or 5 years, I'll be tickled.

Hey Brother,
When it breaks ;) , you might want to consider getting a Horus Precision. I have the Horus Precision H2 MilSpec 4X16X50, mounted on my AR10T with Badger Ord medium high rings, and the system is great!
There are Butler Creek Scope Caps and a Tenebraex on order for it, as well.

Wow!

Scope aside... That is a nice looking rifle!

Who did the camo?

How?

Is that burlap piece in the second picture some sort of attachable camo, where does it go?

I am GREEN with envy,

Hey Brother,
I did the camo job. I appreciate the compliment. Its actually Krylon Camoflage Paint covered with a good bit of Krylon Acrylic Clear. It took me about a week.
As to how...I gave the ArmaLite a good cleaning with alcohol, then about a can's worth of Krylon Tan Camoflage Paint, broken down into several coats, with light scuffing between each.
After that, I wrapped it in a Sniper Scarf, and hit it with Krylon Green Camo Paint. I wrapped it inside out, so I could see the pattern I was applying with the Green, more clearly, against the unprinted side.
When I unwrapped it, I feathered on a bit more Green as needed. It works very good for my AO.
I also scuffed the Hogue grip down until I had a good purchase on the rubber grip, while still keeping most of the color to it.
After that, I hit the rifle with Krylon clear acrylic to help maintain the finish. A little light scuffing brought down the few spots of slight glare. Most of it remained pretty flat.
The cheek piece is a neoprene stick on unit that I cut to shape. It's proven to be very durable. I picked it up in a bowhunting section of a local sporting goods store. It was being marketed as a bow silencer material.
The burlap strips in the second photo are actually connected to the outside of my brass catcher. I used the burlap to help break up the shape of the catcher. The two slings rolled up in the second photo are M24s from Mike Miller of Tactical Intervention Specialists.
I hope this helps.

I've been thinking that a brass-catcher would be neat.

Now I know.

Thanks for the info!

Hey Brother,
I added in a bit more to my last post.
As to the brass catcher...Be careful. I bought mine from Brownells, an it would routinely jam my rifle up. The brass would bounce off the inside of the bag, or the lip, and back into the action. I took a couple of flex cuffs, heavy duty wire ties, and used them to open the interior of the bag as much as possible, so as to aviod the bounce back. It seems to have worked.
I'm glad I could help.
