The "Armalite" lower receiver available from Impact Arms right now for 138.00 also says Eagle Arms...I'm out of touch on lowers these days..is this a good unit? how would it compare to say..Bushmaster or the Colt lowers out there? Seems a good price compared to the others I mentioned.Appreciation to your experience with these.

Quantico has em for $ 99.00. I have one, no complaints. Fits my Colt upper nice and tight.

Eagle arms are nice however, do not confuse them with actual made by Armalite lower receivers. As actual Armalite lower receivers are not sold individually. The only way to have a spec Armalite lower is to actually buy a complete firearm. I have no idea why they do this, but they are the only company out of the majors that does this. You can buy Armalite uppers though. Visit the Armalite homepage and go to their tech specs area lots of answers to different questions. I am convinced that they build the best quality AR on the market.
A friend of mine has a pre-ban Eagle Arms 20" and absolutely loves it. I have shot it on occasion and can say without a doubt it is fine rifle. I will stick to my M15A2 just out of personal preface though.;)

I think they do it because of the bad rep that some parts guns people put together that may cause quality problems.. I guess they just don't want the Armalite name on a pos

I built one out of an Eagle arms lower, Brownells lower parts kit and a Colt A-2 upper. I was looking for a Bushmaster stripped lower, but the dealer was out of them. He said the Armalite Eagle was everybit as good as the Bushmaster and in some ways tighter. It has been everything he claimed. The weapon functions perfectly.
