Hello guys,

As experts on the subject, can someone tell me what I need to transform my AKS-762 to a full auto?? And after telling me what I need, can you also tell me where I can get it. I think I just need a new selector switch and a new pin?? Is this wrong? Please help....

The conversion is not the problem; then law IS! Even telling you how to do it is good for jail time!

If you can prove you are class II FFL/SOT someone may tell you, otherwise do not even ask as no one is interested in a trip to the joint!

I am sorry fellas, I didn't realize that telling me what I need was illegal. Sorry, I guess I am too new to this field. I actually don't own an AK yet, but hope to soon.

I got a question. Since when is sharing information illegal? I was just wondering why you would go to jail because you told someone how to make a gun full auto.

They call it conspiracy. Streches the law but then, they make the rules! The law doesn't interest them much, only controling "us". Everything posted here is read by the ATF you can be sure. No doubt some of the posters here are spies attempting entrapment. Keep your nose clean, don't even SUGGEST anything illegal let alone do it!

Intresting thought, conspiracy that is. I saw an artical about the conversions done to long barrel bolt action enfields in New Zeland during WWII. They made them full auto. There was a complete diagram of the gas block and other modifications done by the armorys there. It was in the American Rifleman, April '67 I think. If a discussion of history is illegal, it's hard to imagine what is not. It seems to follow the teachings of that Italian philosipher Machivelli (sp?) He suggested it was not necessary to punish the whole populace, just make an example of a few to terrorize the rest. You got to wonder sometimes. There are 23,000 stens in the us that are regestered. There have been 88,000 sten kits imported to repair the 23,000 stens. The ATF busts about 800 guys a year who are stupid enough to put up illegal stens. Should be able to pick 'em up all in about , say 500 years... As long as there are metalic carterages, someone will make a full auto gun. Because, in the final analisis, that is all you really need. As much as they might want to, the laws of physics are not repealable.

Intersting MG34ss about the bolts being converted. While in college I used to read American Rifleman, the liabrary carried the magazine. In one of the issues it talked about lever actions being converted to full auto. It was complete with drawings and illustrated the operation.

The article talked about interputation of any gun that was capable of being converted. It thought it was reaching way out there but its possible for the lever actions to be converted, although I could'nt understand why some one would want to.

You can buy a book on how to convert an AK, or almost anything else for that matter, to full auto at almost any gun show you happen to go to. NOTHING illegal about it at all. In fact it's protected under the First Ammendment. A little thing called freedom of speech.

You can buy F/A fire control parts all day long and you've done nothing illegal as long as you don't also own an AK.

The illegal part is if you actually DO the conversion AND/OR have a semi auto AK and the full auto fire control parts together in the same place at the same time. Either one is good for about 10 years at Club Fed.

Read about it, talk about it, own an AK *OR* the F/A parts (but not both at the same time) and have fun.

If you absolutely can't resist doing a full auto conversion, nobody will try to stop you. Just make sure you keep it a deep dark secret. Once it's complete, you CAN'T EVER tell anybody about it, show it to anybody, shoot it anywhere somebody might see or hear you. EVER!!! Once somebody else knows about it, it's not a secret any more and you're screwed.

Since you can't show the thing off or do anything with it without ending up in the slam, why bother? Save your money and buy a legal full auto rifle to start with.

Well put CAV. I owned a Chinese military AK for about 5 years. Shot it till I was sick of it, sold it, made $3000 myself and a new owner very happy. I have a semi now and have not the slightest intrest in "modifications". Been there, done that. The first Browning MG was a converted lever action I think. Time to join the family,Merry Christmas all..
