I shot an CMP AR-15 this weekend (300 yards prone - rapid fire).
I thought it was going to be an intro to the AR but it really was an NRA high power training class:eek: .....I have only shot 1 AR in my life...a Cdn C7 on full auto in 1988....they brought a C7 and C9 to the range and let us bang off a few rounds. So i was a little intimidated.
Anyways, I had an experienced coach show my all the things and how to get into postion etc...very weird....all this sling stuff.....not like banging away with an AK.....
I shot 79...... Should I report to the kitchen?
Coolest thing was watching the rounds move through the air...have you guys ever seen the contrail? We had the spotting scope set up behind the shooter and you could see the rounds go down range....looks the the movie "predator" when you see the alien move through the tree...
I saw one guy put 8 rounds into the x/10 ring with 2 "flyers" into the 9 ring......all under 60 seconds
