Another RPK bipod question

When folded, what keeps the bipod parallel to the barrel. Is there a hook or something that attaches to the barrel. I ask cause mine just droops down about 2"-3"

nope there is no hook on it to make it parallel to the barrel.....it's pretty much normal for the bipod to droop on a RPK.

i noticed that about mine too, figgered it was normal. i have a romanian now but was looking at some new e. german bipods but they seem to attatch differently, and it doesnt look like the clamp holding mine on comes off without removing the FSB.

Most droop from wear. When having your kit built have the smith check it out. They should be able to built up the worn areas and machine for a tighter fit.

its still not that bad though, ill probably leave it. just put a 74 style brake on that barrel and am about to ship it off to randy for the build!
