Identifying Upper Manufacturers

OK, who can tell me how to identify who makes what upper?

Can someone rip you off by saying they are selling you a Colt upper when it's possibly an ASA or something of lesser quality? ;)

yes, I suppose I could tell someone my "no-name" I got from FAC, and I think is DPMS is a (insert brand) and I can even show that the barrel is Colt, as it is marked. I won't, but I suppose someone could. I have no idea how to tell a bushy upper from a RR, or an Oly or whatever.:confused:
