Will these be sold to the public once the ban lifts? I was curious if the Beta co. was interested in making a few million on the side?:D I'd sure like to have one, keep it for home defense since it can be kept loaded indefinitely ( overkill? NEVER! ). Regardless, is this just not knowable at the time or is there a definite answer here?

If the ban goes away and is allowed to die the simpering death it deserves (read: isn't renewed ect) ... the mag restrictions will too

I have a beta-c for the AR, but would like to pick up towers for my AUG, HK-93 ...

The 9mm Beta mag is totally kick ass, I'd love to have one for my SW5 (HK-94 clone)

I'm sure plenty of people will be sick when their $600 Beta mag is worth about $100. :D

new LEO c-mags still sell for $225+, so $100 is probably unrealistic.

That sounds a bit right. I was exaggerating a bit but you get the point. ;)

This guy is a Beta-Mag dealer, he won't sell towers to the public right now, but if the AWB dies the simpering death it deserves I'm sure he will ...

Only if they're greedy after the ban.

When they're selling to the General Public, they'll make more and can (and should) sell them cheaper than the small number they're selling to LEO's now.

Just look back to the pre-ban days for many examples of this.

Not so much a matter of greed as supply and demand. They presumably make no more mags than they can sell to LE and military right now.

If they start selling to civvies after 9/13/04, it will take a while to get production ramped up to meet the new demand.

Relatively fixed supply and increased demand = higher prices.

Once they ramp up to meet demand, prices MIGHT go back down - depends if they overproduce and glut their market, or make just enough to fill the demand.

The cheapest I have seen so far is $525 on other For Sale boards.
