Receiver Rust

Anyone experience light rust inside the receiver between the rivited parts? I have but was told by Robinson it was normal.

I've yet to hear Robinson admit that anything is abnormal on a VEPR - canted sights, offset mag well, and now even rust comes as standard eh.

Obviously, if you do nothing your VEPR will eventually rust away to nothing.

Sounds like you are lacking a good corrosion inhibitor. I would try Corrosion-X - that's what I use and find it to be an excellent lube, cleaner and corrosion inhibitor. Do a search on Google and their website will pop up - I just use the regular stuff, not the dedicated gun variety.

It kills rust and stops more forming. I would just let it soak into the action, then wipe off the excess - should end your problem.
