9.mm info please

I have a 9mm Colt, full stock, has a flash hider on the end but no bayo lug. Bought in mid 90's, borrowed by my brother a COP, 350 miles away so I haven't the ssn# present, can anyone tell me is it pre or post?!? No box.

The cut off for the Colt 9mm PreBan Was Serial # NL 004800

There were preban guns that were manufactured after that serial number that had the shaved off bayo lug and screw on flash hider , but ATF decided that anything above the NL 004800 would be concidered post ban .. So if the gun your speaking about above is above the cut off , then you would have to have a post ban muzzel brake permentally attached ... If i were you i would buy a post barrel and hold onto the Colt 9mm barrel they are expensive to buy ..when you can find them .. Sherluck , in Ohio has 9mm post ban barrels made by Wilson barrel .. for $140.00 .. Hopfully your serial number is below the NL 004800 cut off ..then you don't have to worry about it .. email me and let me know i am curious ..
