OK, start flaming the Carbon 15. Maybe the older ones had problems, but my Type 97 is as reliable as any of my ARs or even AKs.

Was out at the 50 yard range today, using Sellier & Bellot ammo, Tasco 3-12 AO scope set for 50. After firing one mag to warm the rifle up, I put the next 3 on target using my steady rest (Igloo cooler). My daughter, who was spotting for me, reported the first round hitting about 2 inches right of point of aim. I held the point for the next 2 rounds. She said that she saw the paper move on both, but couldn't find the new holes. A friend said he saw dirt fly behind the target. We walked up to the target and I was a little shocked to see that all 3 rounds went through the same hole!!! The first time that I have ever done that!!!

The rest of the day was spent fooling around on the 50 yard range, with several on paper for grins, staying around 1 inch. It was easy hitting shotgun hulls thrown around the dirt backstop. A great day of shooting to say the least.

I fired over 300 rounds today, with no problems at all! The Carbon-15 Type 97 never failed to send a round down range, never failed to eject, extract, chamber or cycle. I can't say enough good things about my fly-weight AR style rifle.

OK, why am I not having all "those problems" with my Carbon-15?

Glad to hear it!
I thought mine was the greatest thing on earth. I'd still have it if it dint stove pipe on me all the time.

I hope Bushmaster sorts 'em out because I'd like to have another.

Happy to hear Bushmaster has cured PO's ills, I had faith in them and am very glad to read your range report. I'll have to give one of the new & improved Bushy's a try.

We just got our 1st Bushy made carbon 15 in the shop yesterday. Pretty slick looking.

Anyone hear if Bushy will offer product support for all those malfunctioning Pro Ord guns?

I called them about my POS, Oopps, thats PO carbon 15 . The first guy I talked to said I need to call PO and talk to them about the problem. He was sure they were still around. Killed some time looking for them. Never found them.

Called back, and talked to someone else. He was very helpful and friendly. Told me where to send the rifle (PO's old address) and gave me a guess-t-ment on repair cost. Sent the rifle in, but have not heard back yet. It has only been a week.

i have to second that range report, bought my model 97 a few months ago with po name on it but with a bushmaster sticker on the box. my dealer says bm replaced the bolt with their own and it came with a bm lifetime warranty. it is a good shooter, only problem i have is there is no place to attach a sling on the barrel end without drilling the gaurd, the ones with the longer rail have a velcro strap that slips thru it, anyone have any ideas? i consided a barrel sling but am afraid i might damage the barrel fluting. all in all great gun,

None of it now. They made the carbon 15 first. They went bankrupt, and Bushmaster bought them out.
