Here it is, got the lower back from Olympic last week. I've got one thing to say about olympic's customer service, it rocks! They had my lower exactly 3 weeks. Had some trouble with trigger pins walking out on my old receiver and the safety detent hole was drilled out of spec. So they remanufactured my pre-ban lower and shipped it back to me free of charge. Can't beat that with a stick! The upper is a 14.5 Bushy M4 flattop with a permament phantom,
The stock is a 4 position rock river, cavalry arms handguards and a colt pistol grip. Got her sighted in this weekend and she shoots like a dream. 500 rounds of Federal lake city with no problems at all. Love this carbine. Now I need an optic. Enjoy:D :D :D

They did it for FREE?!?!?!?!?!
I called and asked about the remanufacturing process and they told me it would cost $165.
I wonder if I call them and let them know about the problems with the receiver if they'll offer me a freebie too?
My lower is an Oly/SGW Stopsign marked CAR-AR.

If your receiver is out of spec, they will fix it free of charge. read the warranty at Olympic website. Here's the link:http://www.olyarms.com/usa.html

Just emailed them back quoting this section of the warranty:
"Obvious factory defects are warranted for the lifetime of the firearms wether you are the original owner or not!"
I was nice about it and everything....hope they hook me up...I've been a good olympic customer in the past. If not....I don't mind paying to have my rcvr 100% fixed.
In any case....sorry to hijack your thread.
You're remanufactured rifle looks great!!!! Glad they fixed you up and I'm really glad to hear you only waited three weeks for them to do it!!

Good deal man! I think they'll hook you up. Also when they redo your lower you can keep the stopsign emblem or they can put the lion on there if you want, or they will leave it blank and just put the serial and caliber. Saw a reman. receiver like that recently and thought it looked pretty cool! Anyway good luck on your lower.

They didn't offer the lion option for my stop sign receiver. Maybe this is something new. Mine was remanufactured a year or two ago. It's a beautiful peice of work now. It started out as an abused problem child. Now it runs like a tank. Unstoppable! Especially since the local distributer finish reamed the chamber of the stainless barrel to standard SAAMI spec for me before letting me have the upper. Accuracy is decent for a carbine weapon (bout 2" at 100 yards), but the reliability factor went WAY up. Much nicer weapon now. Almost as reliable as my AK's with any ammo you could want to use...

Yeah, the new lower was definately a big improvement over the one I sent them. They hard coat anodize now instead of that cheesy soft finish I had on the old lower. Also the fit between my bushy upper and this lower is alot better than before. Here's a new pic of it, I recently put a Eotech 511 sight and a Arms # 40 on. I'll post a range report this weekend on the new sight setup.
Later guys

Looks awesome!!!!
They ended up telling me to just send it back and they would decide if it fell under their warranty or not. Thats good enough for me. I don't mind paying if necessary. :D
Can't wait to get a nice shiney new preban lower back !!!!!

unbelievable. i have not heard of this before. i bought a preban yesterday at a gun show. i may do this as well. i have a question for you though. on my reciever, just to the left of the selector (if in the fire position) it apears as though a pin has been filed down. a terrible job at that. i have not been able to figure out what this pin is holding. is this on your receiver?

Bravo on customer SERVICE.
I had 2 oly lowers I built a whlie ago and they fit parts kits great. While my bushmaster didnt fit all aftermarket products.
Companies that go out of their way AFTER you give them your $$$ deserve repeat business.
I will think of olympic when I plan to tell a friend to buy or buy myself an AR!
Thanks

My experience with Olympic customer service was even better than DieselMech's was. I got mine back in even less time and they did a near complete rebuild of both uppers and a nice bit of trigger tuning to boot. One can't complain about that at all. ;)

I sent my SGW lower to Olympic and they remanufactured it free of charge too. They also re-stamped it with the stop sign logo. I couldn't be happier in my experience with Olympic. Here's a picture of my M4 on my new SGW lower:
