This is a new rail system being produced locally in the Phoenix area. We picked up two of these for testing and evaluation. So far we like what we see. There is a short version also we are going to be playing with. This does require that you replace the barrel nut, so for most people it will need to be installed by a gunsmith. I have a Picatinny clamp on gas block in that picture and there is room for it inside the rail system. It looks like it should be heavy, but actually it is surprisingly light. it is made out of aircraft grade 6061-T6 alum.

Wonder how long till we see these in futuristic movies? :p

What I'm more curious about is the upper and FAL style charging handle!!! Is the bolt carrier modified as well?

If it's light, and your lowers are very light, how pointable is this little lady? :D

How's the OKO feel waaaaaay up front?

When I first put this togethere, one of the first things I thought was "movie gun".......

American Spirit Arms side charging upper. yes the carrier is notched on the side to allow the side charger to catch it.

The short version of the rail system is about 3/4 lb. not sure on the weight of the longer version, but it cant be much more.

It is extremely pointable. It looks like it should be very heavy, but it is not. I like the OKO way out front, I actually moved it back enough to put one rail cover in front of it. This way I will not have any problems from the muzzle break.

Took the scope off of my Beowolf upper, clamped right on, nice and tight, did not have to move either ring. these are arms #22L rings, I like the height.

Oh, did I mention that the barrel is actually one of two Light Weight Genghis (5.45x39) barrels custom made specificly for me to test.
