One of the things I've been curious about for a while now is how changing out the parts on a AK type rifle to a Galil, changes the performance and function of the rifle. I'm assuming that by changing the gas tube too a longer one it would requier a longer gas piston, and dose it also require a different bolt carrier? The only other parts I know of that would be different is the collar to hold the gas tube to the reciever and maybe a different dust cover. Is there anything else that must be changed? I was also wondering about compatibility with the various types of AK rifles. In other words could you do this to any AK or are there certon ones that such a conversion would not work with? thanks in advance.
