Kevin Costner has always been hit or miss, but when he's on, I like him (ie. Silverado, Dances With Wolves, etc.). What do you think of the previews for his newest movie?

He's directing it, and it looks like there's some seriously nice cowboy shooting and fanning going on!

I do like the line he says in the preview: "Men are going to die here today, and I'm gonna kill 'em!" :D

What do you guys think of the previews?

Looks like he's trying to fill Clint Eastwood's boots. Good luck!!!! It could be a good movie, it has the potential. A lot will depend on the supporting cast, IMHO. In all of the Costner films that did well, he had a good supporting cast. And if the plot gets too convoluted, takes itself too seriously (a.k.a. Wyatt Earp, Waterworld, The Postman, etc), then this new movie could turn into a real stinker.

Yup, stinker is a possibility with Costner. I hope it's not.

Lot of references from Duval (who I like) about "ain't no government or lawman gonna take my land away from me." :D
