In case you haven't heard, Monday Night Football has hired the delicious Lisa Guerrero to replace cutie pie Melissa Stark as sideline reporter. Why? Producer Fred Gaudelli told USA Today that 40% of his audience is female and said that women need someone to relate to on a football telecast. Fine by me. Seems like a lame excuse though, considering we only see the sideline reporter a handful of times during the games, and even then it is only for a few seconds. If Guerrero had been serious, he'd have hired a woman to sit in the booth. Probably just as well that he didn't. No telling how long she'd last with John Madden in there.... :eek:
BTW, Melissa Stark left because she is prego.
Anyway, Gaudelli has made some real weird decisions in the past but also a few no-brainers. One of them was giving Eric Dickerson his walking papers. Gaudelli must have decided he would rather have someone on the sidelines that can speak English.
