I saw what i thought was a good deal and learned a valuble lesson. I boughtseveral 30 rd mags made by USA mags for 9 dollars a piece. I got several aluminum and several steel. At the range every once in a while i would get a FTF, and a couple of incedences where it would spit a live round out with spent case, and chamber the next round.......not a big deal but 2 weeks ago it did not let the loaded round that it skipped over out all the way and guess what? It jammed that sucker ABOVE the bolt/bolt carrier and wedged between the top of the upper reciever Behind the gas tube. had to GINGERLY bend and crush the case of the live round to extract it....what a pain in the ass..... SHOULD I FEEL CONFIDENT IT WAS THE CHAEP MAG AS I SUSPECTED? Bushmaster is very good quality and never had a problem with the mag that came with it
thanks guys

You've determined the solution yourself.
I discard any mag that "spits out a live round with an empty and chambers the next live round" because sooner or later you will get that dreaded overide jam.
Stick to USGI mags.
I am sorry about your problems and loss of money, but by posting here you will help others from making the same mistakes.

Noah has it spot on. I learned the hard way too many years ago when I bought a couple for an SP1 I owned at the time. Those mags are total garbage.

Sadly to say, of all the aftermarket delas out there, USA, and they should be ashamed to use that as their name, are the worst of all those available. I've tried several different calibers, trying to save money and when I traded in those guns, guess which mags went them. USA are the cheapest, most un-reliable pcs of shit you could waste $ on. The used Mil-Spec put em to shame, also the Thermold or Orilite work pretty good for the prices. Get used, then follower & spring kits for a few more $ and you'll be ready to rock.

Might as well add my 2 cents: USA brand mags are junk. Worse, as you found out, they are dangerous. Stick to the USGI mags like everyone recommends, and as Glock 45 said, all you need to rock is a couple of extra springs. Make sure the Gov't mags have the updated green followers. If not, replace the old ones with the green ones, stick in a new spring, and you will have a very reliable mag for your AR.

I hate to say it but I have two alum USA mags that I replaced the springs and followers and have never had a problem (knocking on wood)
But I still agree with you guys, buy USGI or colt mags. Or a beta-c if you can afford it.

Can add to that, I have used a couple of USA mags in my Colt AR15 over the last few years and never had a problem. Granted I have not shot hundreds of rounds with them.

I have found that all usa mags are crap, I bought 4 for a mini 14, only one will feed ammo. Original mags might be expensive, but they work!

I also have had this problem with the USA mags I have 2 steel 40 rounders and the same thing happens with them both, For the longest time i thought it was the gun, untill i pulled the spring out the mag and gave it a little strech, and it worked, but i dont think i will use them again, it just seems to me that the are built with just parts, also im beginning to like this site more and more each time im on it, its being so helpful, leaning the problems that everyone is having with there firearms
Thanks everyone

Same experience here. The springs are junk. The rounds would pop up, but the spring was so weak that they never made it into the chamber. The rounds kept getting jammed underneath, and it actually would partially push the bullets back into the casing. Luckly I didn't buy very many of these cheap mags, but it's a pain to have to buy new springs and followers on magazines that have hardly been used.
