Any word on the Spanish ss109 at sportsmans guide, seems like a good buy. They say it is surplus from the early 90's.

I had some problems with soft brass cases on some lots of SB93 causing failures to extract. Buy a little and see if it works for you, before buying a lot.

I also heard about soft brass cases on the Santa Barbara SS109, but that it should only be a problem in shorter barreled weapons so I bought some of it. Okay, I bought alot of it and have been very happy.

Accuracy wise, it is the best shooting milsurp I have tried. My Colt HBAR (1/7) and Oly HB (1/9) each shot it into one inch at 100 yards from a rest. Just for grins I tried it in my 11.5" SBR and 14.5" M4 with no problems which surprised me out of the shorty. The accuracy was not really experimented with from either, just function, but I have to say that the soft brass didn't seem to be an issue.

Just the same, it is good advise to buy a small lot to see how your guns like it. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
