Possibly a Spanish Mauser?

Just looked up a pic of a Spanish M-44 Mauser. I really think that's the one.

I find it very interesting how the sling swivel is done on the buttstock of the spanish rifle.

Looks like the guys pegged it! You got a good buy on it i like that alot. :)

I never heard of M44, maybe thats a typo or they called the airforce one a M44. I wish they'd get more of these M43's in stock.

Have you got a M1916 and a FR8 yet? That would round out a Spanish mauser collection quite well!.

And PULEEESE no one give me the story that these (1916 and FR8 in .308) are accidents waiting to happen. I get sick of that internet myth. Samco put that myth to rest with their tests on the 1916.

Rick, weren't the CETME trainers built with the 1916 actions called FR-7's?? Those built on the La Coruna 43 actions are the FR-8's if I recall correctly. The only thing different between them was that the 1916 action and bolt only has 2 lugs vs. the 43's 3 lugs.
