I did. I am staying with my sister in a bad part of town (Rochester, NY). My appartment in Palmyra(which didn't lose power), is still under repairs. I spent Thursday night on the poarch with my G22 locked and loaded, in the holster, under my shirt. This posture was assumed as soon as the sun went down. Normally, I would also have my Bushy/Colt AR15 with me, but it is at a friends house in his gun lock up.

I did, but I do that every night. All a blackout would mean is get out the flashlight and batteries.. ;)

Ooops and morning coffee brewed on the gas grill.

One firearm Condition 3, the rest Condition 4. I have to be conscious and the weapon in question on my person for it to be Condition 1.

And since these blackouts appeah'd to be a Yann-kee problem, I was getting my beauty rest this past week. :D

Were always locked and loaded here in south Tex. especially on the ranch. Any rain storm with lightning knocks out the fuses on the transformers out here for at least a couple of hours. It takes the local power guys at least that long just to get out here. The only things we have to fear are occasional illegal aliens and animals of the 4 legged variety. No lights, no t.v., no computer, just darkness for about 2 miles in any direction. I really need to get a generator.;)

The big blackout didn't affect us in Hotlanta, but last night some clown took down a pole in my neighborhood. Around 11 PM everything went dark. I first grabbed my trusty flashlight, then my 1911A1. That's SOP for yours truly, 'cause when the lights go off the weirdoes come out.

It's a good thing my cell phone has an alarm clock feature or else I probably would have been late for work this morning. :)

Blackout or not, the USP is always at arms reach.
