Anyone have any problems running 62gr. HP Silver Bear through their AR? I bought 100 rds initially to see how they would run through my Armalite and had no problems, however now I reading at various sites about how the red sealant Silver Bear uses can and does cause jams in many AR users rifles.

Also just for info anyone ever use the 50gr Black Hills V-Max Nosler ballistic tip rounds? Picked up 50 of those just to try out eventually along with some Winchester 55gr Ballistic tips to boot. Thought that for home defense these would be ideal. Lots of velocity with minimal penetration. Why minimal penetration? Because unless they (the perps) are solely there to Kill me and my family I figured they'd run before sticking it out and ballistic tips would be absolutely nasty at such short distances!!! I may be wrong some one elighten.......

Still have a couple hundred of Q3131A but will soon be restocking. But those and the 193's are the good stuff for a rainy day............

not tried the silver bear, but if you keep the chamber clean, I don't see how they can hurt your AR. The BT is a varmit bullet, and might make sense for home defense, they will drop a coyote, with a chest hit , and not exit. Dought many men would want to keep coming after a hit or two to the chest/stomic area.;)
