Ok,I got the itch to put a vertical grip and a light on my Bush master. It was a struggle (also my first time)but I got the hand guards off to put on the accerory rail. It was an even bigger struggle to put the handguards back on! Now the hand guards will rotate about a quarter an inch around the barrel the d-ring rotates as well. The lower guard is worse than the upper. The d-ring seem to want to tighten up on the guard like it's supposed to. What did I do wrong? How can I fix it?
Also, I've seen a guard removel tool that depresses the d-ring for about $25 bucks is it worth it? I love my Bushy but the loose hand guards are driving me crazy.

The tool works very well. Whether it's worth dropping $25 depends on how often you intend to take on/off your handguards.

The handguards have a slot which fits into a tab on the front handguard retaining ring (for carbine handguards with round retaining ring), or a patter of slots that fit over the triangular style rifle retaining ring, and shouldn't move more than a very little bit if you've properly reinstalled them.

The retaining ring is prevented from rotating by the gas tube going throught it, and properly installed handguards should be prevented from rotating by the slots engaged to the retaining ring.
