I have experience with the original czech 22 uppers, my understanding is that the reworked it and the magazine some. I have not fired the newer version. I would also look into the DPMS 22lr uppers. I wish I could tell you more, but for the moment I have not gotten either one in my hands yet.....

This is my second Ciener .22 LR Conversion, this one in Post Ban.
Barrel was bought from Tapco.
Barrel drilled and .22 LR Liner (bought from Gun Parts) installed with J-B Weld.
Barrel Extension was also J-B Welded to prevent use of regular AR Bolt & Bolt Carrier.
Barrel cut to 16.5" and "crowned" for the Dissipator look.
The upper receiver parts were bought from Model 1 Sales.

If you rather not build one check out KKF!

Very nice uppers. Very expensive too. I called in my order and had it in less than a week. You aint gonna get that from Kurt.
It works of a modified Ciener. If you have a Ciener kit now, he will give you the instructions for modification and save you some money.

I wish someone would make a mag adaptor to allow you to use ruger MKI or MKII mags....

Wrong angle to fit into the lower receiver, unless you machine it.

I believe DPMS makes one, but it's $450 I cannot find the site but it's DMPS, do a Google search

I would buy the DPMS, but I have the USGI conversion kits and mags, and they work fine. I am looking for a beat up but otherwise reliable AR lighweight to use with them. No way I would put them in my ultra match guns. I have shot them some in another AR I used to have.

Midway has the DPMS low pro upper(22lr) for $299. Found them in the sales flyer. Problem is, their out of stock at the moment. I'm trying to order one anyway. I'm fairly new to the AR arena even though I'm and old fart!!!! So I figure I'll test a bunch of things out and find what works!
