View Full Version : Japanese WWII ID???????

Anyone knowledgeable about Jap WWII rifles? My uncle picked one up in Nagasaki after THE BOMB (doesn't glow) and I just discovered it when cleaning out his basement. It even has the bayonet in primo condition.

I left the disk with the pics at home (dummy) but will post them soon. For now I just need to know the best forum/place to post the pics. It didn't look like there's a forum dedicated to Jap weapons so...

I know NOTHING about these guns but this one looks like the typical rifle you see the Japanese soldiers carrying in the movies, etc. It looks like it's ready to shoot (after a good scrubbing). No idea what caliber it takes but looks like a fixed 5-shot mag.

Probably a 6.5mm or 7.7mm Arisaka.
Post a pic and someone will identify it for you.
