I have a 70% 10/22 receiver that's been sitting around for a while. Been debating what to do with it.

What would I need to have done to convert it to .17HMR?

Is the receiver for the .22 and the .17 basically the same and all I would do is change out the barrel?

I think they are made off of the 22 mag receiver... They are a little longer for the mag well from what I remember... You will also run into a cycleing problem with the different preasures... It seems that they 22 and 22mag have the similar blowback preasure and that is why there is little difference in the way the two rifles work.

Didn't get anything. I may have deleted it. Can you resend it?

The .17 is based on the .22 Mag (both the round and the 10/22 receiver),

If the rec is for a Mag you're fine, if it's an LR then you have some "adjusting" to do...;)
