I'm gonna be in the market for some long range varmint optics. Does anyone have any suggestions? I love high magnification scopes, so more power is better in my book. I might be limited in my objective size to probably somewhere around 50mm due to the scope rings I will be adding. Recoil handling is not an issue. I could darned near use something that was put together using bubble gum with the extremely weak recoil on this rifle.

I have a Leopold 36X mounted on Ruger 223. It allows me to either shoot ground hogs in either the left or right eye. BTW the scope costs more than the rifle.

Thanks for the recommendations folks. I'll look into those for certain. I'm always on the market for good stuff. ;)
