Hey Brother,
You may want to take a serious look at the Harris BR S model with notched legs. It'll allow you to stay low behind the rifle, without the muzzle going north, and offers a bit of minor adjustment through uneven ground. Getting a PodLock installed is another good option for it.
I am more a fan of shooting off a ruck or buttpack, but then you might get a few looks at the range... ;)
