Hi,
Will a 762x39 upper, fit on any lower ? or are there restrictions?
I was wondering on the fit of the mags.........

A 7.62x39 upper will fit on a lower for .223. You can also use .223 mags but will have less capacity. Model 1 Sales just had an ad in the SGNews for 7.62x39 uppers.

Evertthing but the barrel, bolt, and extractor is exactly the same on the 7.62x 39 uppers as on the 5.56 version; so, yes, you can use a 7.62 upper as a "drop on" conversion for your standard AR. The range marks on the rear sight elevation wheel become meaningless, howevr, which is why Colt left the wheel blank on their factory 7.62x39 uppers :D
