How would you tell a Maadi mag from a East German one? Looks like someone might be selling E. Germans as Maadi's.

The one Maadi mag I got with my Steyr Maadi had MADE IN EQYPT stamped across the side, at the top. It was also finished in that thick black paint that Maadi uses.

Are these 30 rounders made any better than the crappy 5 round mag that came with my Maadi ARM?

My Maadi 30 rnd mag is very sturdy. The ad claims they are the same as the East German mags, so I would think they are as strong. I got my mag used with my AK, along with three East German mags. The three EG mags all had varying amounts of rust on them (could just have been the previous owners fault for not taking care of them) but the Maadi mag with its glossy black finish was perfect. I really think the paint they use prevents rusting. I would buy some of these Egyptian mags if I hadn't just bought several EG mags. My $.02 worth.
