Cleaning Kit

Has anyone figured out how to use the kit that comes with a Maadi? All I can do with mine is laugh at it once and a while.

You need to go to Chucko's web site and download the Clayco manual it gives detailed disscription of the use of the cleaning kit.
Check the AK manual thread in maintinance and cleaning and general forum also for the link to his site.
P.S. the scans of the Maddi ARM,RPM,and RML manuals are on the way to Chucko now. They tell how to use the cleaning kit but are not as detailed as the Clayco manual.

About the only part that is worth a dam is the tool that raises and lowers the front sight post. The rest of it is pretty cheesy.

Cheesy? but it works! What more do you want? Gold plated?
With the cleaning rod under the barrel and cleaning kit in the buttstock your pretty much road ready. A rag for cutting patches from/wipeing down the rifle and a bottle of CLP is all that is required to matain your rifle in the field.
