ive found out that in my state i cant have a SBR, lame. but what if i get a krink kit, build it on a post ban reciever, pin the stock open and add a "fake" suppressor to get the 16 inch barrel. would there be any regesrtering needed for somthing like that? and how much would a smith charge to headspace and add the bbl extintion? im pretty sure i could do the rest myself. thanks

DB,
If you permanently attach a muzzle brake, extension, etc. to total over 16" then the rifle would be legal.

What state are you in Bob? In my state the Governor doesnt even want any AK's or Krink's in his state, not any assualt rifle, If I got a Krink I would have to register it to be legal! yea right! And anyways it would be illegal even if it was registered, to short of a barrel unless I get barrel extension, since Flash suppresors are illegal to have on any rifle.

db, 1100°f silver solder and welding are considered approved methods of permanent attachment. blind pinning is also approved.
a faux can or bbl. extension can get you o the 16" requirement. see the krink parts post below for such items.
a krink aow must be built on a virgin rec. (never had a buttstock on it) and must utilize a pistol grip lower handguard.
