Jap 6.5 ????

ok knowsomeone who has one but the chamber has errosion don't think you could make it a shooter, just a wall hanger, i know the mag follower an spring aren't in there either, has some funky paint on the stock some sorta jap markings painted on, not alot, but looks cool an authentic outside, no pitting or rust but stock is dinged an blue is half an half how much is it worth ?

1. Under $100.00 I would say. You could get parts from Gunparts if the barrel isnt to corroded.

If it is an early type 38 it will have a knob on the safety and the front sight will not have the protectors.How bad is the corrosion?

dunno on the throat the smithy took it home an looked it over because i was gonna make a shooter out of it by rechamberring to 260 remington, but he said it wasn't worth the bother because of the corrosion, if i remember right he had the parts to fix it, meaning a follower an spring. i would guess it was an earlier gun rather then later because the quality of the metal seemed better then i've seen on some, nice oval bolt handle, the rear of the bolt had a nice big round checkerred end to it. that help any ?
