I bought a RRA m4 carbine a few years ago. How can I tell if I have the chrome lined barrel and chamber ???

If it's chrome you should see a rim of grey/silver color at the muzzle end. get a flashlight and peep in!

To my knowledge RRA only started offering chrome-lined barrels for the past year or so. Does it have a muzzle brake or is it a plain muzzle? If it's plain muzzle you should be able to tell doing what StreetSweeper suggested. It may be more difficult with a muzzle brake and even tougher if you have a pressed on, fake flash suppressor.

My rifle has the recoil compensator on it. It is a Wilson Combat barrel. It is real accurate too. I shot it last week and was getting about 1.5 MOA groups at 90 yards with PMP fmj's . I am not a great shooter , but am impressed with the short 14.5 inch barrel. I heard however that the chrome lined barrel and chamber made the rifle more reliable. I have only had one failure to fire. I had shot the gun and put it away dirty for about a month and then went shooting without cleaning it. When the gun misfired the rear end of the spent cartridge somehow got lodged above the bolt and bolt carrier. What caused that ???
