View Full Version : What parts do the 7.62 Krinkov parts kits NOT include?

I'm looking at building (or having built) a Krinkov SBR based on a pre-ban 7.62 AK. I'm trying to get out of this as cheaply as possible. Whatever is NOT included in the Krinkov kits is all I'm looking to buy here. Is the receiver itself all that these kits lack?

That being the case, where's the best place to look for pre-ban AK receivers only (in the white if possible)? Thanks!

Rob,The Krink kits are minus the receiver. Sometimes the barrel trunnion is not included, but most vedors (K-VAR)now include that also. As for a pre-ban receiver "In the white"...good luck, because the only pre-ban receivers your going to find are the ones that are on factory built pre-ban weapons. In other words...You have to use a pre-ban weapon as the "Host" to build the krink kit onto. You could build it on a post ban receiver (lots of them out there to choose from),but you would then have to weld the stock in the open position, and cannot have the flash suppressor/booster (922R rules). The down side, is that the flash supressor/booster combo is needed on the krink,so the action will cycle properly due to the short barrel length. Good luck, and I hope this helps. Joe out.

A reciever that wasn't assembled into a rifle with 2 assualt features before the crime bill passed isn't a pre ban in the eyes of the ATF,no matter when it was made.
They reportedly even went to US factories to make note of which recievers were, so they'd know the cuttoff on the serial numbers.
there are US made recievers by b-west(?)that were made before the ban still available ,never been assembled, but don't let some shister trick you by calling them a pre-ban reciever. If youre caught you'll end up buba's girlfriend for like 10 years.
Scarry how easy it is to get in that situation on a reasonable assumption.
