Ak-47 3 Shot Burst

Does anyone know if the 3-shot burst parts replaced the full auto parts, and if so is this an additional function besides full auto? or does it just repace full auto? If it replaces full auto does it require addtional changes of the receiver.

Several years ago I saw an AK that had the 3 shot burst kit in it, and it had an additional selector lever notch on the receiver. I don't know if that's standard or not, as the guy that had it was into 'exotic' stuff, and he might have had it done just for that weapon. I wish I could have seen it fire...

You can replace your FA parts with a 3 rds kit, and your AK have the 4 positions, safe,semi,3 rds and full auto.
