I bought a Krinks FH from (i think) K-Var once. It came as a comp. It DIDN'T have that nice knotch in the front end nor a detent for the locking pin, but it did have 2 holes drilled into the top to release extra pressure.
This IS what I wanted, what are YOU going for????
You could just drill holes on the top of the expansion chamber to release extra pressure instead of welding a barrel extention.

Hi Bishop, My understanding is that the BATF has determined the krink booster is a Flash hider. I am thinking about using a longer barrel and cutting it down instead of welding on a barrel extension.

Does anyone know if it is the cone or expansion chamber that is considered a flash hider.

I think it is the cone that is the FH. This thought is based on the detatchable FH that you can buy for the M-1 Carbines. These have cones and are called Flash Hiders...
BUT I wouldn't call the 2ft FLASH that comes out of those "hidden"...

the cone is the flash suppressor.

simply weld in a "filler" cone that is solid and bored with a hole about .030" larger than the bbl. bore. construct it flush with the cone, weld in place and grind smooth. voila! no more evil flash suppressor. i suppose a washer welded onto the end of the cone would serve the same purpose...but SLEAZY!

in case you haven't figured it out, yet...the booster chamber is NOT a flash suppressor.

Which part of the Krink Flash hider actually hides the fash? Is it the cone? Or is it the booster chamber?

Rember when Mike@MSC was making Bushgun conversions where he would extend the barrel through the expansion chamber of a AK-74 brake? I am thinking about doing the same thing with the krink flash hider.

It would look kindof like this with the hider removed. The hider would have to be premanently attached as a post ban gun is going to be used.

If the cone is the flash hider, I suppose I will have to try to extend the barrel out to the tip of the cone/hider instead of stopping inside the booster chamber.
