A couple of weeks ago, at Wis. gun show, I ve noticed russian TT-33 pistol, looks like refinished, with no manufacturer markings at all, only with ser. numbers, without safety added.
I wonder if it was just the way gun was refinished or russians did manufactured some of these guns without Tula of Izhevsk markings on purpose?

Were the slide serrations on the TT 33 the old wide/thin or the later thin serration? the chinese TT 33 have the later thin serrations and did make a sterile TT 33 without markings (except serial number). The sovietrs also produced some TT33 in the dark days of 1941-42 without any markings also but these have the old wide/thin serrations.

The gun was russian, I do not remember about serrations, but the ser. number prefix contained two cyrillic letters.
