I have owner three TT33 over the span of 25years, it is without a doubt the most underrated pistol in the U.S. Currently I own a HUNGAIAN model 48 a close copy of a late pattern(thin serration) TT 33.It is all matching including the magazine and was made in 1952. I have had two TULA 1938's in the past-wish I still had them. I have always found the TT 33 to be extremly accurate. On two seperate occasions I took two different friends out and let each of them shoot my TT 33 and my Glock 26. Both shot better with and perfered the TT 33 over the Glock! Since then I've sold the Glock-don't plan to ever sell the TT 33. If I can ever figure out how to post pictures with a digital camera(I've barely got past this fire thing) I'll send you a photo.

I want one real bad, should I buy a polish one, they're real cheap but that 'import' safety turns me off.. Are there any good deals on other models?

I've not seen the polish TT 33 for sale but if they are of the same quality as their AK 47/AKM circle 11-I carried then they must be of excellant quality! I only question who installed the safety? the poles or CAI? I've never used a TT 33 with a safety-and my hungarian 'nam bring back has been modified so that the firing pin now is a rebounding one(iit doesn't touch the primer when the hammer is down) If you can check one out before buying-the last thing you need is a pistol witha safety you can't stand. Hoped this helped a bit.
